I'm happy for Giada, I like her and her show. I can't stand Rachael 'joker face' Ray, and her fake happy go lucky attitude, she's probably a royal bitch behind the scenes. And I couldn't watch more then 5 minutes of her show, she tries to act like Oprah, equally annoying. Sandra Lee creeps me out so much and her voice is so nasily and annoying, just like that fat control freak, Paula Dean, man they both annoy me.

I saw that Sandra character yesterday. Who needs this kind of culinary instruction? She was claiming to make a pasta salad.
She started by adding a whole bag of the pasta to a small pot of boiling water. Anyone who has a cooking show should know that you really need a lot of boiling water to cook pasta. The idea is that the more water there is, the less heat loss there is when you add the pasta. Pasta needs boiled, and when you add the pasta, you want the water to return to a boil as fast as possible, or you get gummy garbage.
So after she massacred some other atrocious, packaged food, she went back to the pasta and it's tepid fate. Not a hint of a bubble in the water. What better way to help the pasta languish in misery then to add a large portion of frozen peas and carrots to really bring that water temperature down.
So after that soaked in cool water for a few minutes, she drained it and tossed it with bottled ceasar dressing. Now if the pasta and vegetables had been piping hot like they should have, the protein in the ceasar dressing would start denaturing, resulting in something that would probably look like that bag of human lipo from Fight Club.
She went on to proclaim that her "salad" was a great way to get kids to eat peas and carrots. I'm assuming you would want kids to eat peas and carrots for their healthy benefits. Most of these benefits either disappear or are negated when you leech them in water, then water-board them in creamy dressing.
This chick seems to share a similar trait with Rachel Ray, which is cooking out of cans, bags, and other packaging. I don't really consider that cooking. Sure, it's food, but when you make a cake from a box, you haven't really cooked it.
Giada and her huge grinning and snapping head, on the other hand, actually cook. She makes most of her stuff from scratch, which, to me, is informative and interesting. Plus, she's always got that cleavage hanging out.
