no comparison. the beatles were strong & steady their entire career. 311 hasn't had a hit in 10 years if not more.

a good friend of mine is a big fan of theres, so i have seen them prob. 5 times or so.... the problem is that you see the same show every time... going there you know you are going to get everyone doing the drums, the same encore, and the same songs during the set.... as a big fan of phish, seeing them about 20 times and every show being different, i just dont understand how someone could be such a big fan of a band like that

<p>Went to Memphis last year for the 3-11 day concert and felt that I was in a time warp. Also thought man I feel old here. Everyone is 25 and under. So I figured its been years and I still knew most of the songs, so I said&nbsp;lets see them old school this year....Ill follow them in th NYC area PNC and Jones beach theatre.</p><p>What a mistake no one is in the Early thirties late twenties like I figured or even early 20s like Memphis but in their teens. I was with people who's moms were with them and I was uncomfortable checkin out moms going wow she is hot and the daughter in a couple years will be too. No more live 3-11 shows for me.</p><p>As far as Jack Johnson the Surfer....awesome dude. The Artist....the worst DVD I purchased in my life was a live DVD of Jacks's concerts for her as I was subjected to it for about 2 months after xmas and I fell asleep everytime. She loved it. It lead to sex which means I liked it too.&nbsp; </p><p>But its boring as shit...the music not the sex.</p>

311 is such a great band, tim mahoney one of my favorite guitarists, and p-nut and chad sexton, are also as good as anyone out there ever with bass and drums respectfully. Never knew this was 311 day but i been a huge fan for years. A band that evades any genre with the utmost artistic alacrity.
