I was wondering when they were gonna start. They taped the first several episodes the last week of August, in Las Vegas.

From what I understand it will be a pretty decent show, despite being hosted by Fartin' William Shatner.

You can read about it at ironchef.com. There is a link on the left for Iron Chef USA.

Don't get your hopes up about seeing your favorite chefs. There will be an Italian, French, Chinese and Japanese Chef. With mostly American challengers.

All the other Chefs are busy with Resturants, and chairman Kaga is actually in NY doing Jekyll and Hyde, I believe.

I refuse to watch this on principle alone.

The Japanese Iron Chef is the ONLY Iron Chef. Anything else is an abomination under the eyes of God. Now we get to see Hollywood take the concept, and do it incredibly poorly. No thank you.

I saw a commercial for this this week, and it doesn't look good. Part of it's charm is how it has that air of importance and culture. The commercial showed people in bleachers with signs...

From the reviews I have seen it does not seem anything like the original. It is more like a way to rip off the idea and put a bad spin on it.
