Matthews has retained attorney Robert Shapiro. "We're not going down that road now," Angels spokesman Tim Mead. "We want as much information as Gary can provide, but he can't or won't tell us anything. There is a sense of frustration here because of the lack of information. Everyone understands this is a legal issue but there is a sense of frustration. We feel like this is hanging over our heads. We'd like this resolved by opening day."</font></font></strong><font face="Arial" size="1"> <p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>It should be very interesting to see how this plays out. Im not an attorney but it seems crazy that they can void a contract signed in 2006 for taking a substance, when this substance was (for the sake of argument) taken in 2003 when it wasn't a banned substance. <p>Jerry Hairston, jr. is named in the investigation, too.</p><p>Funny how the legacy guys feel the pressure when they suck way more than people expect with their last names.</p>
