I went to one in Mt Vernon called Samba Na Brasa the other night. If anyone has been to a restaurant like this they basically come around and carve meat off skewers. Something like 13 different types of meat. Definitely a place to being your appetite. The price was decent and the hot Brazilian waitresses added to the decor.

They're good, if you're a meat lover. Basically an 'all you can eat meat' place.

In Mineola (Home of Blackbird!) there is a Portuguese place like that and they cook it over charcoal! Awesome! We get whole barbequed chicken cooked there and for $12 you get a whole chicken, a big amount of rice and fries or veggies. Its amazingly good. I tried the meat ting once, but it is waaaay too much.

I never did like the beef in South America when I have traveled there. Argentina was the only country that I thought had good tasting beef. I don't know why, must have something to do with what they feed there cattle.

Noticeable flavor difference.

I went to Churrascaria Platforma in midtown for my friends bachelor party. That place was awesome. Tons of meat varieties, and when they run out of meta, they wrap it in bacon, so it's like 2X the meat! It was also voted the #1 steakhouse according to city search too. It's a great place, but admittedly a bit pricy but at the same time well worth it.

I hard about one in upstate ny that has game meats. Anyone know about this?

I worked for a Brazilian chef once. He told me about a brazilian delicacy where they wrap a steak in plastic and "season" it in the sun until it turns green, and then grill it. I imagine it would be nice and tender. Later on he informed me that "if women didn't have that thing between their legs, men would choke them to death." He was a pleasant man.

And if you're ever at one of these places, I recommend trying the chicken hearts (they offer them at almost every churrascaria). They're a lot tastier than you'd think.
