So it's been two weeks since I was told that a follow up would be scheduled, and nothing. I've researched online and found out that this company has a history of "forgetting" about applicants for months on end, so should I start calling and inquiring about what is going on or do I drop it and keep looking?

bumpity. after several no where interviews I have tomorrow morning at 7:00 AM over breakfast. They picked the time and place, since they know I am working nights and do not care that I will be in my work clothes. These guys seem like they are the real deal and are ready to pay (and not just for breakfast). The company itself is a plumbing subcontractor, in need of a hands on type project manager. They are based in Lynbrook, so if i took the gig I would be driving about 15 miles from home against traffic most of the way. I am excited about this one. I will keep yous posted.

Remember - they need you, not the other way around.

Hopefully you won't have to travel 417 miles to work every day anymore.

haha, thanks jug. it isnt just the money, it is quality of life. my current employer treats me like i am dirty harry, every shit project that comes up ends up mine and i make it work and make them $$$. long hours, longer drives back and forth to the projects, short schedules, bad sub contractors, shitty clients, all in a regular day for me. I am ready to move on and so far these guys seem ready for me.

GVAC, as I told you, I am the free agent that someone wants. My track record speaks for it self, it is time for a company to woo me.

Why not go for it? Maybe it could become permanent if you do well, you could meet some people there who hook you up with something down the road, or maybe your boss will start sexually harassing you and you'll have a big payday in litigation.

If nothing else you have something to do for the next 3 mos and you can keep looking in the meantime.
