So, my sister had this comment after the Big Ass Bash ((because I haven't really seen her til this weekend)).

"Ron looks like Sam Kinison"

And my dad listened to the XM show today about Dave's alleged attempt to shit on the bar, and said "What is this that you're listening to?" And the only response I could think of was "My boss."

So what's your family's reactions to Ron and Fez...

Whole family has no idea about the show, the messageboard and the whole Death Metal thing either. And it's none of their business really. I'm not ashamed of any aspect of my life, they just aren't interested in a lot of it and I'm not willing to explain it all.

My wife was driving home the other night late, right about the time ronnie was talking on free fm about eating babies and how tender they would be. She was MORTIFIED!!!!

Of course ronnie and the callers kept on with it. Knowing she was out there cringing at it made it all the more hillarious.

My wife doesn't enjoy them as much as I do. She particularly doesn't care for the Paul-O segments.

regina loves the buddays and everyone here. My mom cannot even begin to understand what the hell the show is, what a message board is or anything else that i do. dad, he knows, but is very conservative with "hot talk" and the like.

my brother and his girlfriend somehow came across the midnight rider jr. video on youtube with not knowing what it was. they go around saying they "are the midnight rider, dadday" and "i got my whatley posse sticker, and my whatley posse t shirt." they go nuts when they see me wearing my obey fez t shirt. my brother has listened to the show with me a few times and has gotten some laughs.

my dad walks around doing fez's voice but saying "right, fezzie?" as if he's ron. it gets on my nerves actually. otherwise, he knows a bit about O&A b/c he's on the NY radio msg board a lot, but nothing about the buddays. or the board.

One time my mom asked me to turn the show down a little bit so she could take a nap in her room down the hall because "one of those guys' voices is really nasally."

My brother and his wife are huge fans. The rest of my family could care less. My mother refers to any radio talk show as "Howard Stern".

My chick only catches bits and peices when she walks by me while I'm listening, Every once in a while, she'll sing "White people are so scared of black people" And sometimes she'll scream "O&A Party Rock!!!!! Too bad she has no idea what it all means.

my parents have no clue, my sister loves stern, and won't listen to anything else, my roommate thinks i'm a loser, and my girlfriend thinks i'm a loser (she enjoys the show, but doesn't like to admit it).

At first my wife hated the show -- she didn't like the language on the XM show. But it has grown on her -- mainly because she only hears the FM show.

I only know one other person in my area that is a regular listener and both of our chicks think we are retards when we start talking about the show. A couple of my buddys have heard the show on road trips and they just don't get it.

My brother doesn't mind the show. he only listens when he's in my truck but last week he was making a delivery to a shop with RnF on and screamed out "Big AAAAA". The shop owner gave him 2 thumbs up.

My father stumbled upon O&A during a "Guess What's in my Pants" segment back in the WNEW days...came in the house & asked, "You know those guys you listen to on 102.7...they were doing this thing with a girl on the phone...were they guessing what I think they were guessing? Is that legal on the radio...really...wow am I getting old." He was laughing the whole time. And now even though he doesn't listen, he loves whenever Imus references them.

My ex wouldn't go out of her way to listen to O&A, but would listen when we were in the car together. Until Dice came on or Ant did the Dice voice...she LOATHES Dice & the sound of his voice sent her into a tizzy. Ron made her laugh & Fezzie made her want to give him a hug whenever she heard his voice.

My cousin got into R&F backwards...he got to know people from the board at the poker games & joined. Then he eventually started listening to the show. He doesn't remember to tune in often, but when he does, it's never long before he calls me laughing his ass off at something.

My wife's a fan - she owns a myfi and probably listens to over 50% of the XM shows. She loves Paul O., ESD and feels pity for Black Earl. She's not a fan of the wrestling talk.

My mother thinks they sound "just like those 'Car Talk' guys." The little of them my father heard was met with his usual bemused, stoic silence.

My parents have never listened to the show and could probably care less.

My sisters have probably both heard a little bit of it and don't like it, but they have a very lame sense of humor.

My brother used to be a big Stern fan when he was on FM for years. When he bought his new car, his free trial of XM got lost in the system to where he's been getting it for free for three years. He tried Opie & Anthony, but didn't like it, so I turned him on to Ron & Fez and he's a big fan to where he says he likes it better than Stern and O&A.

As far as friends go, pretty much everyone I turn on to the show thinks its funny.

I was in the car with my parents on the way to my mothers birthday dinner recently and asked my father to turn on 92.3. On the ride back from the restaurant the buddays were in full movie talk and my father kept laughing. The next day my mother must've left the station on because she was talking about them on the way home from work and laughing and telling me how mean everyone was. She knows how much I enjoy the show.
