I went to a cardiologist today at NYU medical center today....I had an entire workup....Christ, that is tiring....she told me ...in her professional voice of course...that it is probably all due to stress from work....wow....I was devastated...then she told me that she would like me to see a collegue of hers...a physchiatrist......now I feel even better.......so I go to another floor...this other woman sees me immediately....she interviews me and asks if I would like some drugs......WHAT????????

Any way ....lost story short.....I was told to quit my job and find something less stressfull....what the fuck do I do!!!!!

Stop keeping your emotions bottled up inside, talk to others about how you are feeling, decrease your sodium intake and watch what you eat, engage in activities to decrease your stress and anxiety levels, have fun, don't be too hard on yourself and stop trying to save the world. Ohmmmm......
It wasn't the type of job you retire from.....I would never put in enough time....but the money was good for a golden parachute....if you know what I mean.....I retired from the NYPD and was cashing in...but I guess I'm a drone ...not a queen bee!!!!

What the doctor's won't tell you is that No matter what work you do, there will always be stress. EVEN if you change jobs, your stress won't go away. The solution is to engage in activities, skiils, and techniques that will alleviate or decrease your anxiety or stress levels.
How does your doctor know it's your job stressing you out? Work is just one aspect of a person's life and well-being, other factors could be in play, such as alcohol/drugs, interpersonal relationships, family and social environment, heck, LIFE is stressful. So to attribute your medical condition to just one faucet of an individual's life is plain ignorant.
Maybe it's work, maybe it's not. Who am I to say?

And with that, PLEASE don't forget to follow the recommendations of your primary healthcare physician.
