the ratings are continuing to be bad.
apprently they did a 3.8 the first hour and a 4.0 overall.
LAst year I think they were over 5.0
I don't know if FALLON or MARK have any information on what the wwf is doing about this or there concerns. But everything I have read leads me to believe the wwf isn't planning on many changes.

Bringing in new people right now will probably spike the ratings for a few weeks. I don't think it will bring the ratings back up for the long term. They have to realize that more McMahons on TV = less ratings. They also have to realize that they cannot keep using the same 5 wrestlers in the top storylines. The WWF needs to push new starts into the main events. Doing the same old thing is obviously not working. Maybe Vince will realize this when he sees that his wealth is going to get a lot smaller with no viewers.

I've grown increasingly bitter and cynical. I DON'T think that the WWF is going to change, at all, because Vince, for whatever reason (perhaps ego) doesn't care what the diehard fans want (I guess he takes for granted that we will always be there).
On the one hand, that's good - we can't always get what we want, because if we did, the product might never have any appeal to the mainstream fans. But the problem is, the mainstream doesn't care now, and Vince isn't doing anything to change that.

Ratings have been going down since WrestleMania, I don't think it's just the WWF. ECW had shitty ratings when they had a show, WCW got really shitty when they had a show. All in all I think intrest in wrestling is just down.
My problems with the WWF are:
1.] Too much tv trime for the McMahons.
2.] The tag team division sucks.
3.] No confidence in Angle or Jerocho as Champ.
4.] Undertaker, Billy Gunn and Big Show need to be let go.
5.] The Alliance is boring now, they totally fucked that up.

Well Tom Poo,
Tell this WWF Mark that the ratings are bad and I'll tell you no big f'n surprise. As WWFallon has noted the WWF has been on the decline since Wrestlemania. This has to be due to the fact that since competition of WCW and ECW folded prior to the purchase by WWFE, there was no real escape for other brands of "sports-entertainment." Interest in wrestling has also obviously gone down to the fact that certain quote unquote "Main Event draws" /A level superstars are not here currently (ie: Macho Man, Hulk Hogan, Flair *but soon* Perfect, The Hitman, HBK, Goldberg, Scott Steiner, Ken Shamrock, Jeff Jarrett, The Outsiders etc). These individuals were cornerstones of wrestling lore and old school, traditional fans like myself lost their connection to "professional wrestling." Apparently this brand of "sports-entertainment" is not enjoyed by all wrestling enthusiasts but had to be reshaped solely for those percentage of the audience who has "short attention spans." Do any of you remember the "60 Minute Iron Man Match" between the Hitman and HBK? The WWF may have done it recently with HHH and Rock but you could notice that it wasn't the same. Reversals, holds and traditional mat wrestling has been replaced by "sports-entertainment." It lost its original fan base and that also can contribute to the downward spiral.
As a traditionalist, I feel the WWF might have hit the perverbial kryptonite when they bought WCW and ECW copyrights. No originality and recycling of the same storylines have also contributed to the downfall of the WWFE Empire.
The infusion of new faces or old familiar ones like many of you have dually noted quite possibly bring the WWF out of its perverbial funk.
Now I will comment, expound and dissect on WWFallon's problems with the WWF:
1.] Too much tv trime for the McMahons. That is a valid point if I ever saw one. The McMahon lineage just continues to monopolize on valuable wrestling time for wrestlers who can get the needed exposure on the forefront programs like RAW and Smackdown! Their collective egoes have made those individuals who are trying to get name recognition almost impossible. Like many people I have talked to concerning the state of wrestling they tell me that they automatically change the channel whenever the McMahon's appear on the rampway with a mic in hand. I don't blame them one bit. I remember a time, around the mid '90s when RAW was a smaller program resonating from the Elks Lodge in Queens, NY and they had 20-30 minute matches instead of the WWF today with 5-10 minute debacles. What the WWF should do with interviews is what they did with them a few years back. They can have matches going on within the ring and then they can have those "essential" interview or promos or vignettes during the match on a smaller boxwhile the match is in progress. That would let wrestlers get time in front of thousands of people, polish and develop their skills and the WWF can continue their incessant storylines (backstage brawls or interviews).
2.] The tag team division sucks. The WWF and The Alliance for that matter has lost the presence of great tag teams. Edge and Christian broke up (they are better as singles wrestlers anyway), the Hardy Boyz are finally after many tries to tear them apart are going to split ways, the APA is dwindling as well as the Dudley Boyz in excitement and the WCW/ECW have no tag teams to speak of. Whatever happened to O'Haire and Palumbo. They tosses one of my favorities of this Invasion angle, O'Haire to polish his skills in the WWF Minors and now Palumbo is linked up with "The One who has no Mic Skills" Billy Gunn and are supposed to be a competitive tag team? They probably will hold the titles but they have no real personality to discern them from one another so they will fold like the Showgunns! They need to develop better tag teams, period, end of story! If I headed the WWF Booking Committee, I would bring in recently retired Mikey Whipwreck and have a reunion with Tajiri and The Sinister Mi

WWFallon, i totally agree with points 3 and 4. But maybe the UT doesn't need to be let go like Big doof and Assman, but instead he needs much much less TV time.
IT'S TIME TO PLAY THE GAME-AHHH!

The alliance vs WWF storyline is boring now, people don't want to see their favorites as Bad Guys. I don't think they need to get rid of Undertaker and Big Show though, they have the both of them on a lot now because so many people are out on injuries.
