Donovan is one of the most underrated voices in popular music. He's also a great song writer. Bob dylan used to be called 'the amercian donovan'. Hearing "catch the wind" on a commerical just now reminded me of how amazing he is.

My favorite scene in "Don't Look Back" has Donovan singing one of his sweetly innocuous folk songs to Bob Dylan in a hotel room full of British flacks. Dylan says something sarcastic afterwards and responds by singing "Its All Over Now Baby Blue".

Donovan looks like a deer caught in the headlights during the song or more appropriately, anyone entering the ring with Mike Tyson in the late '80s early '90s.

a lot of people in the 1960s tried to make trippy sounding songs that would compare to lucy in the sky with diamonds. donovan was one of the few to get it right and real, and maybe the only one to do it better than the beatles

Donovan's pretty cool. It helps when your music is arranged by John Paul Jones and features Jimmy Page on guitar -- like on "Hurdy Gurdy Man".
