<p>Okay, I'll bite. I'm a left-winger who listens to Michael Savage occasionally on my drive home from work (yes wiseacres, a leftist with a job). If I'm going to listen to political radio, I'd much rather hear stuff I disagree with politically - I find it more fascinating. I usually only hear about five minutes or so,&nbsp;since&nbsp;Herr Weiner has the shortest show segments in the history of radio. I find him vastly more palatable than Hannity, O'Reilly etc. because he has&nbsp;superior comic timing and is clearly <strong>batshit insane. </strong>His vitriolic, paranoid&nbsp;rants have a beatnik-eqsue, Lenny Bruce vibe -&nbsp;although I'm honestly floored that anyone (regardless of where they reside on the political spectrum) takes them seriously. Older folks on this board might remember Wally George or Morton Downey Jr. - I think Savage's rabble-rousing is definitely in that tradition. </p><p>If Savage runs, perhaps Shirley Phelps-Roper could be his running mate - they're about even-steven on the credibility scale. </p><p>Someone on here (maybe Mojopin) posted a Salon article about him that made for pretty interesting reading, it was particularly illuminating given his anti-gay stance.</p>
