I just saw that Mega Millions has reached 215 million dollars. How great would it be if the board won the money collectively? Has a Messageboard ever hit the Lottery?

If there was someone who set it up so that board members could send Paypal money to, and the person would buy the tickets and manage it for the board, I would like to throw in a couple of bucks.

at 370 million, with lump sum payment and after taxes, you are looking at clearing 125 million. you can waste the first 25 million, park the rest into a CD earning a paltry 6% per year, and still make 6 MILLION dollars a year on your principal. it is such a disgusting amount of money, it is almost hard to comprehend how much you would really have

i dont know if i won yet but if i did:

i opted for the anuinty. this way i know no matter what, i get the whole thing. what would i do? pay my moms mortage and my sister's, set up college funds for my two nephews, pay off my In-laws condo here (the one they have in Lauderdale, i would out right). I would change my citizership to the Caymen Islands or somewhere i wouldnt have to pay so much taxes. all of our bills get paid and school loans. buy a place for us in the city, a place on an island, then travel. I want to see it all at that point and everywhere we go, the dog comes wiith us. up first: Greece, then Italy.

as for the money itself: just let it sit in low risk, fixed income annuity and use the interest as my pocket money.

no overly lavish house, no super fancy cars. i would keep my FJ CRUSIER and maybe get a motorcycle. thats it.

oh yeah, i wouldnt tell anyone either.
