I put aside my hatred for the Celtics to mourn DJ. He really was a great guy and player.

When I was real young I would watch the Celtics and he was a really good player, but those freckles were odd. I never seen freckles or red hair on a black man before.

That being said he was a very good player on great teams. He worked hard as a coach and help devolped young talent. Too young to die.

Shit, how did I miss this? DJ was great.

So young, too. I would've expected Robert Parrish maybe, but not DJ.

He was the Morgan Freeman of the NBA.

Damn, this reminded me just how entertaining the NBA used to be. The Celtics - Pistons rivalry was heated. You can tell that those guys weren't just playing for a paycheck, there was mutual hate involved. Lambeer getting his ass kicked was always fun.

Celtics - Lakers rivalry. Will we ever see two such amazing and talented teams face off again like they did in the 80's?

Damn, the NBA has really gone in the shitter. Unwatchable in my opinion and the Celtics are god-awful.

One of the most famous calls in NBA history, Johnny Most:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zviu1C7TJzY

RIP DJ!
