Freakshow brought up the Bjork song Army of Me in another thread so i threw it on and it got me thinking that that song has a weird effect on me. Every time I hear it I start this weird rocking back and forth thing and I get hyper-aggressive, which is kind of strange for a guy into metal.

Another one for me is the song Free when Sarah Brightman sings it, it puts me into this weird trance, I get the thousand mile stare and i can't really accomplish any thing until the song is done. If you play the Chemical Brothers song "Star Guitar" loud enough in my car at night I have a weird "dry" trip.

Are there any songs that do this to anyone else or am I just a nut? It can't be like "Pantera makes me angry." it's got to be unintensional or a little bit strange.

Yay! I'm helping, i'm helping.

It's not any particular song, but i unintentionally 'hum' along with bands when I'm at concerts. Especially if it's a really good live band like the Living End.

bandages - hot hot heat

a year and a half ago me, my brother, his gf, and her friend went to toronto to see the futureheads/louis xiv/hot hot heat show. long story short, me and bro were completely shitfaced. just pounding blues and shots of jager. last thing i remember was stumbling through the concert screaming, "bandages, motherfucker!" i was told the next day over the course of the night acted like godzilla towards a group of asian people in the rain, jump in every puddle i could find, spill mustard from a dirty water dog all over my clothes. i earned the nickname colonel mustard and lost the respect of several people. all in all, good times. but everytime i hear the song, all i can think about is screaming, "bandages, motherfucker!" and have a severe craving for an ice cold canadian beer.

But it's more a mix of sadness and everything being how it is and me not caring. Kinda like, if your rubbing one out and you dump it on your stomach. The Lou Reed song that does it to me is "This Magic Moment" off of the Lost Highway soundtrack, its upbeat, but there's something about that song that haunts me.

The song "Camera" by R.E.M. always tears me up.

Also, no matter where the song "Marquee Moon" is if I stumble onto Fred playing it, I'm there till the end, and I am doing nothing but listening in bliss until it's over.

I just realized that just about every Slipknot song makes me manic. I think theres something about the chaos of that band that meshes well with the chaos in my head.

"Here to Stay" by Sheer Terror, "Clobbering Time" by Sick of it All make me so aggressive I want to swing a brick in a gunnysack at people.

"Tired of Me" by Jesu (not a Christian band for those who havent heard them) and "I Still Miss Someone" by Johnny Cash are so sad they never fail to depress me, not necessarily in a bad way.
