Okay, I have a bit of an emergency on my hands... I recently downloaded some brushes off the internet, and while loading them into Photoshop, I accidentally clicked "Replace" (which Adobe inexplicably set as the default), instead of "Append". ALL of the custom brushes that I've ever made were instantly gone. I never saved my brushes as an actual Set, so I don't have an .abr file with my brushes in it. But Photoshop HAS to store these brushes SOMEWHERE, right? Please tell me they're not gone forever. Where the fuck does Photoshop store these brushes if they're not saved to a specific set? I'm fucking horrified/furious.
Thanks in advance.

When you change the brush size there's a dropdown arrow where you can reset brushes.
Otherwise program files/adobe/photoshop/presets/brushes.

Turns out I figured it out... The file I was looking for is a file called "Brushes.psp" which can be found in:

Library>Preferences>Adobe Photoshop Settings>Brushes.psp

So I pulled that file from my backup set that I had on an external, and replaced it. I lost a couple brushes that I've created in recent days, but I was able to get most of them back. If I had not had a backup, my shit would've been gone forever, so beware folks... SAVE YOUR BRUSH SETS.

Feel free to lock 'er up... (But not before someone posts x-rated photos that violate board policy.)
