Now on to what your bitching about, I will agree this does seem to be a little political. The album and song was really good and should have won a couple of awards but the fact that they won everyone they were nominated for tells me it may have been to support them b/c all the shit they have been through.

From an article about the Dixie Chicks:

"I think people are using their freedom of speech tonight with all of these awards," Maines said.

Uh, as far as I know most us never had a chance to vote.

i didnt vote. what is funny to me is that they won all the awards (including country) when radio, even COUNTRY RADIO stations didnt play their music.

Kinda surprised that Al Gore of all people was out there presenting best rock song or act or whatever. Considering that his wife was the first to go out after musicians for what she deemed obseen.

PMRC

When the Dixie Chicks won there was a guy on stage with a lot of hair, an orange tie over his grey sweater. That was none other than my friend and former roomate Chris Testa, picking up two Grammys for his sound engineering work on their album.

I'm so proud I'm telling everyone!

Bill Simmons wrote a very funny article on ESPN.com about the Grammys.

"11:00 -- The Dixie Chicks win again for "Record of the Year." I feel like the Grammy voters are speaking out against the Iraqi conflict at this point. We'll know for sure if Cindy Sheehan wins for "Best Rock Album."
