This sounds interesting but not sure how much it'll catch on as opposed to just being a gimmick.

To me the green bottle always signals skunk flavor.

http://www.slashfood.com/2007/02/08/miller-chill-por-favor/

I never like a beer out of a green bottle, but this miller thing sounds disgusting. Why would I want artifically flavored beer with salt and lime? it sounds like a wine cooler marketed for men

this stuff sounds gross to me. i dont like coronas to begin with so i doubt i would like a cheap miller rip off brew. if i want something with a lime in it, ill take a gin and tonic...

I think it would taste like piss. American beers are frequently brewed with rice instead of barley, which makes them so lightly colored and bland. Adding salt and lime (artificial at that) goes to show that the beer itself isn't good enough on its own.

As for the lime making it appeal to hispanics, that's bullshit. Americans put lime in Corona, Mexicans do not.

And as for green bottles, I kind of have the same impression, although I know it's not always true. Heineken, Becks or Grolsch come to mind and they're skuny, but I'm sure there are beers in green bottles that don't taste like that. Maybe Pilsner Urquel?

I agree with the point that it's more like a wine cooler.

If they want to capture the markwt of people who like lime ann salt with their beer they should be pushing their beers with an ad that shows you can put a lime in it.

I'm a big Miller High Life fan and I wouldnt personally put a lime in it but i could see doing it if that was your thing.

Didnt Tecate have a beer out, maybe still does, with this same premise ?

I also agree that a lot of people like the beers in green bottles, some chalk it up to the fact that they think it's classy ( a lot of Heinekein drinkers ) and others equate it to a better beer especially the foreign ones.

I'm basically a corporate schill and only really enjoy for the most part domestic beers ( but I do enjoy Guiness now and again ) so my taste may not be very enlightened.

To each his own but I despise anything in that colored bottle.

Didn't they try this (kind of) with Tequiza and it failed miserably?

AND ISN'T ONE OF THE FUCKING MAN LAWS, "DON'T FRUIT THE BEER????"

bunch of fucking hypocrites

Sweet bottle design, I'll give them that... But sounds like a bad idea. No way fake lime flavoring is gonna be as good as an actual lime.

I'm not a huge fan of fake flavorings being added to beers, add to that SALT and it just doens't appeal to me. I'm not a regular drinker of Corona's though I will on occaision have them with lime and they're good. Though this just sounds a little weird, it's the same reason that Tequiza never appealed to me either.

As far as the green bottle...I don't mind green bottles, some of my favorites in green are Heineken and Grolsch so it's not a big deal for me as far as the bottle color is concerned.

I have never been a fan as far as adding a lime to my beer. I do like the green bottle though. I probably won't give it a try though, I'm not a big fan of Miller or many american beers. I will drink some canadian beers but I stick mostly with Kilkenney or Innis and Gunn from Scotland.

No harm in trying it once. It may turn out to be decent. Who doesn't lush the lime into their Corona bottle?

What's with the urban myth that Corona is "good beer". The stuff is club-trash chick beer. Plus I hear the Mexicans piss in the vats.
