I was on the verge of throwing my laptop into the street a few minutes ago. i somehow (drunkenly) removed the sound device for my laptop last night and could no longer get any sounds out of it. i searched the internet for sound devices for two hours, installed this, installed that. i was freaking out because nothing helped. microsoft updates was no help. and then i found a page through a google search that described my situation and how to solve it. I can't believe i didn't know about this but, if you screw up your computer by deleting things or downloading something bad you can go into all -programs from start menu and click accessories then system tools and then system restore. it lets you go back a few days and it restarts your computer before you fucked it up. this is the greatest thing i have found on my computer and just saved me from breaking it. i wish i had one of those for real life. it is like time travel.

You know a feature is good if you can work it while you're blitzed.

i wish i had one of those for real life. it is like time travel.

=

Hell yeah that would be nice: Life Restore

=

System restore is one of the few good things to come out of Windows; it's great for when you finally break down and install a new version of WIndows Media Player or IE. If it sucks [it always does, it seems] and it wont un-install, System Restore is your best friend.

And back up your data!
