February 2007, Worst Month in Movies

<p>Have you guys seen the commercials for movies that have or will come out this month? February must be the dumping ground for cinematic turd.</p><p><strong><em>Because I Said So</em></strong>....drivel!</p><p><strong><em>Hannibal Rising</em></strong>....crap!</p><p><strong><em>Norbit</em></strong>....atrocious!</p><p><strong><em>Ghost Rider</em></strong>....yech!</p><p><strong><em>Music &amp; Lyrics</em></strong>....dreck!</p><p>I agree with Ron on the state of the movie industry. By trying to appeal to the masses, the industry voids its product of any redeeming value besides mindless entertainment. Everyone likes mindless entertainment from time to time, but every movie? I think I've been to the theater 3 times in the last year: Borat, Departed, Beerfest (admittedly mindless). At least there is an independent theater near by that shows some interesting stuff. I'll have to mix that in.</p><p>At least 3 of those 5 movies are likely to be as bad as a movie can possibly be. I can't imagine being a guy dragged into Music &amp; Lyrics. Gives me the douche chills just thinking about it.</p>
