Loved that game! I also had a soccer one that I would play constantly in the car. I'd be so happy to find that.

I could never it out. The kid that grew up across the street from me could give you a good match though. He lived on that thing for a couple years.

I LOVED playing that game! However, I figured out the "ultimate play" that would never fail so it lost a little bit of luster. When you score on every posession it isn't as much fun. The play had something to do with a "fake," then a sideline pass, then running down the field for a touchdown.

I don't remember how to do that play now, so I think it would probably be a lot of fun again. Thanks for the happy memory this afternoon!

If I'm wrong, it's not by much. You're right. Once you have that play down, it's no fun. You get a touchdown every time.

My friend had Electronic Quarterback, I had a green one. I think it was An "upgraded" (1981 style) version, or made by a competitor. (Mattel maybe) If you held down one of the buttons and turned it on you would get a faster version of the game.

i had one we used to play on a midnight shift. quarterback something...it came with small records, you picked an offensive play/record, your opponent picked a defendsive play/ record, you inserted them in the machine, and there would be a recording played as to how much yardage you made or lost, i.e.

'fleaflicker pass complete to the receiver, touchdown"- it was much better than how i just explained it.
