The boys dished it to black earl today. Earl is apparently having a problem booking guests, which, of course, got me to thinking, if I was producer for the day, what guest(s) would I book? Keeping in mind this is sort of a fantasy thread, in that every guest would be available, for me, off the top of mny head, keeping in mind the nature of the show, one choice would be the author, 69 year old Jay Robert Nash. Known as the "foremost chronicler of crime". He writes encyclopdia style books including the previous mentioned, bloodletters and badmen. You get mr. b's curious mind and this guys knowledge, and you've got an hour of great radio. On the movie side, T1,2's James Cameron comes to mind, and his brilliant technical approach to making films. Tarantino would be fantastic. Gervase would be a regular, as would bourdain. I bet anthony hopkins would visit for awhile. Come on, they're in nyc, an abundance of celebs and interesting folk right at their fingertips. Comedy/politics wise, a sort of blast from the past, but Mort Sahl, nutty and edgy, and Richard Belzer is a home run and probably attainable if he is not in baltimore or in france. Who would you like to have on if you were P.O.T.D.?
