also proposed is walking while chewing gum. its been reported that people have been struck down while blowing bubbles with their hubba bubba.

If people cannot pay attention to traffic signels while crossing they are too stupid to be allowed to leave their homes.

If you're not paying attention, then you take the risk. I see this as thinning the herd.

if you do not look before crossing the street, you deserve to get hit. i dont think it has anything to do with mp3 players but people being complete and utter retards. i was confused by the line, "in either new york city or buffalo". just a little weird that buffalo would get thrown into the conversation with no other mention.

I wouldn't be surprised if this actually passes. We are constantly fucked on regular basis and nobody wants to stand up for themselves.

Is there? Are people dropping like flies left and right? Or is this just the talking of a spooked alarmist looking to make headlines by proposing yet another infringement on personal privacy?

Where were these fucking assholes when the walkman came out? Or the discman? They were portable, they were distracting...im sure people got hit back then...

mother fuckers man, enough.

NewsChannel 4 reported that Sen. Carl Kruger is proposing the ban in response to two recent pedestrian deaths in his district, including a 23-year-old man who was struck and killed last month while listening to his iPod on Avenue T and East 71st Street In Bergen Beach.
So the punishment for the crime is death

When was it ever the job of the government to protect us from ourselves? We're being treated like fuckin children. Here's a revolutionary idea, treat us like fucking adults and let natural selection fix things.
