<p><a href="http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20070204/wl_nm/pope_euthanasia_dc">Pope Benedict says that "compassion is no excuse for euthanasia."</a></p><p>I guess that veteranarians are doomed to hell.</p>

<p>I think the euthanasia are okay. They grow up, come to the University of Lethbridge, drive Asian cars and get a cheap education. When they are done school they go home and take their education with them to make more euthanasia.</p><p>It's all a wonderful cycle.</p>

<p>According to the article, in the case the pope is talking about, a doctor turned off the life-support machine. If God had intended for that person to live, he wouldn't have died.</p><p> </p>

<p>Did anyone really expect him to saying anything other than this, though? </p><p>I'll give the Pope some credit...at least he's consistent. Pro-Life, Anti-Capital Punishment, Anti-Euthanasia, Anti-War (for now, at least). </p><p>It's a far cry from the hypocrisy of most of the Evangelicals in this country.</p>

this isnt new, so dont blame just this pope. no pope has ever condoned euthanasia. my favorite pope that actually condoned death was good old pope urban the second.
