Yes, yes. Drive fast, turn left, except when you're on a road course, and then you have to deal with the lead singer of System of a Down.

Moe doesn't understand NASCAR.

Shelle loves Dale.

Amy loves JJ.

Toyota is driving this year, with Michael Waltrip and Dale Jarrett leading the pack of Camrys.

Dale Jr. in a contract squabble with Theresa. Richard Childress can be seen rubbing his hands and cackling in the distance.

Will Biffle and the Busch brothers rebound? What about Kasey Kahne?

And the biggest question of the year...

Will the Car of Tomorrow be good... or bad?

I'm a big Micheal Fan But I work for GM.....That could be a problem.........Please lord let the Waltrip team do well..But not as well as the Chevys.....Ive got to be able to pay xm each month...Kyle will do fine... Kurt will realize why Rusty got out when he did...Biffle will be in the chase...The car of tomorrow???Well for at least 16 races we will see some passing Its gonna get crazy with new owners, new manufactures, and new bodys..alot of new for one year....maybe to much...

I hope Micheal has a comeback year of sorts, He comes across as a great guy but his cars the last few years seem to have sucked.... Who will do the NAPA commercials now?....My guy is Jimmie Johnson. I love him so much I bought a house with a 48 address. Well that's a coincidence but I still got it.

Jr is a whinner, he will never pass up an opportunity to throw his crew under the bus for having a bad race. Tony Stewart is a racer but he scares me.

I am looking forward to this year so I can sit back, watch the races with a beer in hand and a chew in the mouth...just to identify.

Can't wait for Daytona....Only a few more weeks!!!!!!!!!!

BOOGITY BOOGITY BOOGITY!!!!!!!!! Be gentle with me as I'm out of my element in this thread. I'm just a New Jersey Yankee who knows nothing about motor sports. But I saw something on ESPN today about how Toyota got the pole positon in their very first race. Frickin' Japs and their superior engineering skills. Can some of you guys explain to me what effect, if any, this has on anything?

Pole also doesn't mean a lot.. it's not rare, but it's seldom that someone wins the pole AND wins the race. (Of course, I could be wrong on this)

Toyota is dumping a LOT of money into their programs, something that Ford and Dodge isn't willing to do because of sagging sales. Toyota's done really well in the truck series, but the Busch and Nextel series is something completely different. Especially considering that they don't have the best drivers in the world behind the wheels... it's Jarrett, then Waltrip... and then a whole lot of nothing.

Of course, it's not just the Japanese; they supply the parts, but the good ol' boys tweak the parts to make them better.

I'd be surprised if Toyota wins more than three races this year, with Jarrett getting at least one of them.

Thanks for the info. I did look up that news story to make sure I wasn't crazy, or hearing things. Apparently, Dale Jarrett will have the Pole Position in Daytona tomorrow in the Budweiser Shootout (whatever that is).

I started paying attention to NASCAR about three years ago because it was that and country music that all the guys at work talked about. None of them liked #20 so naturally that was going to be my team. Watched a bunch with my father in law when me and my wife were dating and then last year I kind of let it slip. But i'm really excited for this year, probably because i'll be seeing my first race live. Now i'm looking for a hat or two for me and the woman to wear when we are at NHIS. One's that don't give douche chills, which if you look at the Nascar SuperStore is hard to find.

About the Shootout. Great finish at the end. I love it when people complain about the race being won by bump drafting. Do they expect the drivers to just sit back and wait for a screw up? That'd be the equivelant of a pitcher just throwing one pitch all the time to a batter knowing that another pitch in his arsenal would challenge him better and might give him a shot at striking him out. <<<Longest post ever for me.

It makes me feel all tingly inside but not orgasmic. Maybe when I'm a better fan. Still waiting on the hat.

I've got Jimmie Johnson this week in my big money pool. I hope he can take a top 5 at least bc using a big name has to come through with big points or you're done! All those guys with Stewart last week are hurting. I was really happy with an 8th place finish/comeback for Gilly last week. It may be his best finish this year.
