Random drug tests at New Jersey high school to check if students were drinking over the weekend.

Can detect if the kids were drinking on a Friday if tested the next week.

Sure, they might say "no punishment" now, but it's just the start. I wonder how long until they amend the rules to have kids get in trouble if the tests come back positive.

I fucking hate shit like this. How is it the school's business if they're drinking on the weekend?

Eventually they might change the rules and start giving the students trouble if they come back positive on their results, just like they do with illegal drug tests now.

If you're under 18, I'm sorry, but your rights are about as limited as they come, and that's how it should be. You're a child. You're gonna get treated like one. Tough shit.
using government grants to step up their alcohol monitoring,
Your tax dollars at work so that government can do the job of parents!

Here's a kid who should have be tested every day. Running naked through the cafeteria. Geez, doesn't he know people are trying to eat here?

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/16878819/

I hear the government is also working on an Atheist test. This will identify all Atheists so they can be systematically removed from society.

Wow.. thank god they didn't have that when I was in high school.

Shouldn't the parents be responsible for what their kid does during the weekend?

I always love it when something is done for the children. It is no business of these school administrators what these kids are doing when they are on their own time.

And by the way, students have been sneaking drinks in this country since the first time fermented juice or hooch from a still was discovered.

I had a fake ID and would go to bars during the week during high school. The next day I would be all hung over and go to the nurse to sleep. Ha Ha beat the system.

We used to have a beer or two at lunch time in HS. I am glad they didn't worry about testing us back then.
