First off, explain why you consider her "Old School", Mark. Second, I happen to think she is one of the brightest new talents I have heard in a long time. There has not been an honest-to-goodness soul singer in a LONG time, and I think she rocks!

Hey gvac. I'll retract my statement.

When I consider old I refer to the past. She started before therefore I consider her old. If you want me to negate her then fine its your perogative. If you like her voice then its your problem.

Her voice still makes me cringe either way you toss the coin.

jafter's got a point there... anything made for party songs are just so damn cringe worthy!

What about the Mexican Hat Dance or that song about not being friends if we don't dance?

by Alan O'Day.

WHY is it that we often remember the lyrics to songs we hate( including the harmonies, and all ), as much as the ones we LOVE? I think it's because there is usually a cheesy, repetitive tune and/or lyric that sticks in the head - not unlike a commercial jingle. Like 'em or not.
(Also..'Disco Duck' was by Rick Dees)
