<font face="arial,helvetica,sans-serif" size="3">It's a great concept with great execution. The writing and art are perfect for the story, and it really will go done as one of the best limited series of all time.&nbsp; I'll be sad when it ends.</font>

DJ Caruso Wants to Shoot 'Y: The Last Man' Next Year (http://www.cinematical.com/2008/09/15/dj-caruso-wants-to-shoot-y-the-last-man-next-year/)

But to all of you who finished Brian K. Vaughan's series, UGO's interview with D.J. Caruso may wind you up.

According to Caruso, the script for the first film has been turned in to Warner Bros (which Vaughan collaborated with them on), and they're waiting for the green light. They're hoping to start shooting as early as winter of 2009, and the studio is aiming for a release date of late 2010. And, yes, they're targeting more than one film -- Caruso hopes it will be one of three, with the first movie ending when Yorick and his monkey, Ampersand, meet Dr Mann and are separated.

To be honest, reading the new Batman & Robin by Miller & Lee was disappointing. But I am definetly picking up all the Y: The Last Man trades tonight.

This is rumored to become a movie soon right? I heard that DJ Caruso, who's doing Eagle Eye, is going to take the script. I'm really excited for Eagle Eye and what I've seen he's a really good director because I really liked Disturbia. He's definitely a draw to Eagle Eye so I'm betting he'll do a good job with Y.

Yeah, but it makes the Shia LaBeof (however you spell his stupid name) rumors even more likely...downgrade. He plays every role the same way...on the verge of a nervous breakdown, sweating profusely and yelling "NO!!!!" every other word.

Yeah, that is somewhat frustrating. LaBeof's style might work for the very beginning of the story when the shock of the situation is setting in, but after that it has no place. Yorick developed a lot during the course of the book, and hopefully LaBeof would be able to pull that off (although I am not sure given his track record so far).
