Just dont seem to care. I dont see how they can pull off the classic sound w/ out Michael Anthony's high pitch harmonies. He really is one of the best back up singers in the biz. - Or at least he was.

Eddies whole tude just sickens me. I have no interest in this tour whatsoever.
there is NO WAY this band could sell out a stadium today without the original line up. Or even with - come to think of it.

They were never really a "stadium" band. Arena yes. Not even close to a stadium band these days without some monster openers or festival type line up.

Edward dropped the ball many moons ago.

I'm not sure how good it will be at this point. I think I'd rather go see the Police. Unless, of course, MS. Fuzzybutt would be my date to VH.

I wont go, not a huge VH fan. Always thought Eddie was a fucking phony, andf there's only so much Dave anyone can take.

But they'll sell out nationwide, and they'll sound great if Eddie can sober up long enough to do a show. What little I heard of DLR's radio show, he would throw in some singing here and there and I was amazed at how good his voice still sounded for a guy in his 50's. He said he still works at it, and it shows. As a former singer, I can testify to the fact that you either use it or lose it. Dave's still got it.

I'd drop a few buck for a lawn seat at PNC. Can't be any worse than some of the other crap I've shelled money for in the past. Seeing an Eddie-DLR implosion live on stage might be worth the price of admission.

Fuck Van Halen. The tickets will probably be way overpriced.

I'll save my money and go to Vegoose in the fall and see 30 bands for the same price as VH tickets will probably be.

I see there is some hate for VH on here. I'm shocked by that I figured most on this board would be excited by a VH tour with Dave.

All this Van Halen bashing really hurts my heart. But since Eddie has cemented the fact that he's an asshole into his public image, and considering all the bad decisions they've made (bringing back Dave for two songs, going with Gary, bringing back Sammy & barely being able to finish a summer tour without he & Ed choking each other, etc.) I guess I really can't defend them.

The fact that they're finally going on tour with Dave again, and all the good feelings that should go along with it ruined by the fact that Michael Anthony won't be there because he dared to tour with Sammy because he was bored & the rest of the band wasn't doing shit. It all just proves that Eddie & Alex "don't get it." They just don't know, or worse don't care, what their fans want.

All that being said, they're my favorite band of all time & I'll be there with bells on, just to see that chain-smoking, alcoholic, over-inflated-ego asshole play his guitar because he does it like no one else in the world.

Went to the show at the Verizon Center last night. It sold out.
They sounded fine, but that kid Wolfgang has zero stage presence. Just standing up there all hefty and teen-aged, with a bad haircut. C'mon kid, we've seen the Jack Osbourne act already... booooooo.
