I love shit like this. The marine scientific community must be shitting their pants this year, first the live giant squid, now this.

I am a god damn grown man and that scares that crap out of me. What is worse going into space or the deep sea?

There is no way an alien is any more scary then that freakin' thing.

She's pretty! She WAS pretty. She looked like she was very long.

I was thinking as I read the article that she MUST be sick or something if they are normally found very far down in the water, then I kept reading and thats what the official said. I think they should have left her alone, but kept observing. They could have recovered the corpse/body if she was going to die, and let her do so in her natural habitat. Instead they probably scared her when they captured her and then probably sped up the process of her dieing.

I wonder why it would do that? She belongs deep down, and decided to come up to die? You would think she would just want to stay where she was and die. Anyone know the answer to that? Do any other deep sea creatures normally come ALL the way to the surface to kick the bucket?I love seeing things where a rare species is seen alive etc. but does that mean we have to catch it and or kill it? As if the waters of Japan werent depleted enough,....

I dont know if this thing is rare or that we just rarely see it because it lives in the deep waters where humans can't go.

Have you guys seen the video of this thing and the way it moves?? Fucking freaky!! I had no idea anything like this exists-----Nessie has got to exist!!

As far as that giant squid video goes, if we would've been able to capture it I say go for it. We need as many live specimen's of these types of weird creatures as possible....that's right bigfoot, i'm looking right at ya!!

Thanks for giving me nightmares for the next week. I hope I can get the image of this thing out of my mind before beach season starts again.

"Rare Living Shark Found" as opposed to "Rare DEAD Shark Found" or "Rare ZOMBIE Shark Found" - Shouldn't it be "Rare Shark Found Living"? Fezpaul isn't around at the moment so I thought I would bring it up.

Anyway, what a fascinating find! It looks creepy as hell - I wonder what it is like in the wild. I wish threre were footage of one that wasn't about to die.

That shark looks like it would be lethal as hell if it were healthy! With the length of that tail it's probably lighting fast as well.

After further research, I've determined that the frilled shark is pretty much of the gay. It's a tiny little thing, and when it is not dying of decompression, it looks pretty tame.
