View Full Version : Parcells hangs em up
I just saw this and could not help thinking T.O. was doing a dance of joy. Even though he coached the hated Giants and Cowboys, Parcells was one of a kind and I will miss him giving his press conferences. I hope he stays home and never seen again. I hate seeing that fat, pissed off mug of a face on tv. You cant deny he is a very good coach and gets the most of all his talent. But wow everytime he takes a job he just leaves when HE wants and leaves the team all high and dry. He is nick saban before nick saban was nick saban.

He was a good friend of my High School coach. My High School coach, like Parcells was real prick. Most winning coaches are...pricks that is.

Fucking Great! Now that means the Chargers are going to probably lose their D coordinator in Wade Phillips too! He has to be the front runner for that job and if he goes the Bolts will have lost their D and O coordinators, tight end coach, Michael Turner (awesome backup RB), Donnie Edwards (solid/versatile LB) and who knows what else!? Fuck, I'm really thinking they missed their chance. And with a whole knew set of coordinators guess who will be calling all the shots and not just fucking up game management....???? Yep, Marty! Fuck me!!!!!!

They will be fine, how about some love for my dolphins signing a guy with the name cam cam cam cam cam cam cameron. I should have been offered the job atleast my coaching record is above 500 and a championship lose. This bum was 18-37 in his only head coaching job.

Windows in the NFL are usually small Snacks, especially for teams like the Chargers. And losing that much is never easy to overcome. If they won the SB then you're able to deal with it much easier, but they didn't even win a fucking playoff game yet so they have so little experience even with a "stacked" team. And now, they won't have insurance behind LT like this year. One injury in the NFL could kill a team at key positions and they were very healthy this year.

As for Cam, you'll end up loving him as he goes for the throat and isn't afraid to make tough calls win or lose. He'll be a good change in Miami and I bet he shakes shit up there real quick. There is no way you contend in 07, but he'll get you on the right track. Miami's D is their strength, but it's getting real old and won't hold up much longer without a real good free agent market move and or draft this year. On offense, you have 3, count them, 3 fucking train wreck QBs who need counselors as much as coaching. Even with Brown having another year under him, I don't think they'll become a top offense under Cam in the first year either. And what's the status on hippie back?

I was pretty shocked that he was retiring. It seemed like Dallas was kinda pulling it together. They were getting old at some positions, but a solid team, certainly no worse than Seattle, or Philly. Really odd way to end it.

When I heard Parcells was leaving first reaction was that sucks and who are they going to get now. I can't believe he's leaving. In my opinion That's not cool to leave a team so soon.

I do want to trust that when he says "I'm retiring from football" that he actually means it.

I wouldn't be mad at him for leaving the Cowboys to coach another team but I'd be disappointed that he used retirement as a means to get out of there.

Ah, If he goes to Detroit or the Eskimos I'd forgive him.

I can't believe someone would walk away after losing the way they did in the playoffs. I'd think it would eat away at them and they'd be driven to erase that nightmare.

Obviously Parcells is not a young man, though, and he's had his share of health issues. If he feels it's time to walk away and he's made peace with that, God bless him.

I've learned to never believe a thing that comes out of his mouth, though.

Parcells, great coach, dickbag of a guy. Love to leave teams out to dry. Listen, Im a Jet fan and he came to us and gave the Jets instant credability, but then he bolted. But he did turn us from Kotite losers to winners and a winning organization in the few years he was here. As much as a tool as he is at a press conference, the man can coach. While Im not a big fan of him, I can understand why he would leave that F'ed up situation in Big D. T.O wins, thats what the headline should read. It was either Bill or him and I guess Parcells couldnt take any more of that jack rags nonsense.

Heres my Message Board Pyschic...Parcells takes over for the NY Giants after Coughlin shits the bed again next year. September 2008, Billy Parcels will be the Giants Heasd Coach! NY/NJ is the only place where he still has the same juice!

Thanks for turning the Jets into winners Bill, but dammit man, either quit for good or stay with a team and complete the mission!

Really odd way to end it.
They lost to both those teams, which certainly makes them worse than them. They snuck into the playoffs, then lost their first game because they can't kick a field goal. They only beat one team this season that finished above .500. I don't know why people always act like Dallas is a lot better than the actually are.

They might have 3 years max left in them and that will be pushing it. If this cam cam is that good with QB's then I will be happy to give him a chance and see what he can do. I just wish Jimmy Johnson came back for 1 more try. He knows how to evaluate talent better then any coach I can remember.

I will never forgive him for giving up on the Pats before the Superbowl, but he did help rebuild the franchise and gave New England a little credibility.

how long was the contract for ??? its been what 4 yrs since he went to dallas

no my understanding is that the likeness rights were on hold while he was coaching. so ea couldnt use his face. for arugement sake he finishes out his contract with fox for two years or wahtever, and then he decides to go back to coaching, then ea can use his likeness. i think.
