holy shit what a shame. one of the best big men in the sport ever. inspired me to a few times at the House of Hardcore with TAZ screaming at him and telling him that he sucked.

My wife's grandmother swears up and down that she's related to him. He was her nephew, or something. I guess it's possible. Her maiden name is Bigelow and he is from New Jersey. I guess that makes my wife a relative also, thereby making me a relation through marriage.

That being said, if you'd like to send any condolences or tokens of your appreciation for his career I will gladly accept them on behalf of the Bigelow family.

He was always my favorite to pick in that 1st WWF game for the NES back in the day. He had that funky cartwheel move that cracked me up as a kid. Honestly, I figured he was at least 35 then, so I'm a little suprised to find out he was only 45 when he died.

I think Bigelow was the BEST big man of all time. I remember his tag matches with Vader in NJPW and his great run in ECW. I was in Florida for Hardcore Heaven 97 when he threw Spike into my section. I was at Queens when he beat Shane for the belt. In his Buffalo match he established RVD as a main event superstar by selling for him again and again. Seeya !!

I know at the time of the Hardcore Homecoming show, Shane Douglas said that he was having trouble tracking him down, and that all ties including the sandwich shop he opened were gone. Then I think there was a story from last year where he had some kind of motorcycle accident and was in the hospital, where he was either served or was found by a bail bondsman.

I understand the life these guys chose and the sacrafices they have to make, but it's just sad that ALL of my childhood heroes are dieing before their time.

At the time that Bam Bam came up Vader, Undertaker and Foley were not around. SS #1 BBB was left in the ring with Andre, One Man Gang and I forget who the third man was (Big Boss Man [dead] or King King Bundy) but he took such a beating and then came back to take out two of them before the Giant took him out. That was his lunch to the main event for me.

His work in ECW was his best. ECW pushed him like he needed to be pushed. I dont mean in the ring, i mean pushed him, the man.

It is a shame that so many of these guys are dead at a young age.

Here we are again...and it's always so sad. Bam Bam was a guy you never really heard a lot about, seemed to be one of the good guys, from a non-insider's point of view.

He will be missed, especially from the standpoint that all the big men they seem to find these days have zero agility. But mostly as a decent human being who entertained us.

R.I.P., Beast!
