My Daddio was a Bodyguard for Ali in the early - mid 70's.

He says Ali is the most quiet, gentle person he's ever met... until he got in front of a crowd.

He told me a story of one time when they were 'on the road' in a hotel, Ali had hundreds of fans outside the hotel cheering and chanting... The guys in the room would be talking about politics or sports or whatever and all of a sudden Ali would hold up a finger, everone would stop talking... He then went over to the window (turned on the 'Ali' persona), opened it up and yelled out a couple of lines to send the crowd into a frenzy. He'd then come back, sit on the couch and continue talking in a quiet voice again like nothing ever happened.

Happy Birthday Mr. Ali!
