Spy Report: 2nd season of Extras is quality. I've only watched the first 3 episodes so far, and they are all quite solid, but Episode 2 (guest starring David Bowie) had me in absolute stitches. I'm not sure whether they will air in the same order on HBO as they did on BBC, but don't miss the Bowie episode.

That being said, I, too, really dig the Gervais show podcasts, despite Ricky's laughter sometimes coming off as forced. Karl's babblings, however, are priceless.

SinA: Funnily enough, the blonde's ugliness is addressed in Episode 1 (guest: Orlando Bloom)

Thanks for the tip, I'm in the middle of downloading the XFM shows now. Does the UK have similar restrictions on broadcasters like the FCC imposes in the US?

I just got back from the TriBeCa show tonight. Gervais slayed. I did notice a lot of re-hash material but there was some stuff I hadn't heard before. It was cool to hear Humpty Dumpty, Jack and Jill, Fauklands War and a few others in person. I didn't even have a ticket before the show and scalped one from a guy out front who had extra comp seats. Row 1 mezzanine. :)

Here's a link to a lot of the XFM shows (with music cut out). Its 3 gigs, so let it go overnight.

PM me if you need an invite to demonoid. I love the fact that Gervais is an Athiest and thinks Fairytale of NY is the best Christmas song ever. This would make for great listening during the "break."

Did anyone else catch the show tonight? What did you think? I met Robin Ince after the show and smoked a cigarette with him. He was just a normal guy and was talking about how hard it was to just do a 10 minute set.

I just got home from tonights show in TriBeCa. I took my oldest son, who is also a huge fan of the Office & Extras. Ricky was fantastic!!!

I really didn't know what to expect from him as far as stand-up, but he is now in my top 3 comics that I've seen. Ron is right when he said that the English are kicking our asses in comedy. His comedy is so clever. I'm glad we made the trip, and hope he does more touring someday.

I bought my 2 tickets on Ebay for $160, and we were 3rd row center. As we were leaving, my son & I both looked at each other simultaneously in shock as we realized that 2 rows behind us was dead Christopher Moltisanti (Michael Imperioli). We saw him again with Ricky out front getting in their car together with their chicks.

My son was happy "that we had better seats than the famous guy".

Peace

I've havn't seen this season yet and I've managed to tune out the majority of MLC's reviews and now I find out Christopher is dead? It was going so well. I was just ready to re-cap last season and now I have to rush to catch up. Thanks Febreeze. Now you're gonna tell me Tony's gonna die too. Oh well.

You and your son would enjoy RG's first two specials: "Politics" and "Animals." I may be able to get you a DVD if you can't download them.

Sorry Prof. Tony isn't dead yet, but I will keep you posted. Let me know where I can get my hands on those two other DVD's. That would be much appreciated.

I really enjoy Inside the Actor's Studio particularly when someone is on that I love. This was no exception. I thought it was great, I learned a little more about him and he was funny as usual. I recommend finding a replay for those who missed it.

Watched it last night, it was great. He's so goddamn naturally funny... I was shocked to hear that he has zero training in acting/theater/etc. It was cool to see The Office "demo" clip. I just wish there was some way to watch the entire thing, it was clearly heavily edited to fit it into the hour.

Yeah, it would be great if they just had the raw footage somewhere. I knew he had no acting chops before The Office but I had no idea how he got there. The fact that he actually released two dance singles cracked me up and his pics looked just like that episode from the office where he does the video!

I figured this thread was bumped because the Flanimals book is being made into a movie. The podcasts are fantastic. I'd really like to see Stephen Merchants standup, which is supposed to be quite uncomfortable.
