So I downloaded a video from a website and it saved to my hard drive as a .mht file as opposed to a .wmv file. Is there a way to either extract the .wmv file from there or convert the .mht file to video forma?

Yes it is a porn file.

Did you try just changing the extension?

That works for me sometimes.

Yeah I tried that, and I'm getting error messages.

I did a google search, and it looks like mht files are used to archive web pages, are you sure you actually downloaded a movie? How big is the file? If its relatively small, then its probably not a movie.

an MHT file is a file that combines all the files of a webpage into one (images, style sheets, etc.)... This is caused by clicking "File -> Save As" on the browser toolbar to save these files, you will need to find another way to save videos.

The video is part of the mht file, so if you double click it you should still be able to see the video, but don't take that as 100% accurate, I don't know how the developer created the page/video.
