Not even to Gvac would they give an answer without a gag post. I understand completely what your saying G. I don't know what it could be though...maybe it is because the average joe just isn't an intellectual? Most people don't think beyond what happened to them that day. I never act as if I'm above anyone but the truth hurts, most people are just hayseeds. I blame our public education system. If you want to test this just ask people why did the United States go to war with Iraq. I guarantee you'll hear freedom and democracy thrown around witho despair. That should be your answer lol.

Its a problem definately. i find myself in my normal life using the word fuck as a thought collector. I might say " The book is fucking umm fucking right over here." Its bad. I know how to speak but I drive a truck and the element I deal with grinds you down. Sometimes its just easier to be an illiterate prick.

On a more serious note, I think we all feel your pain. One thing I like to remind myself whenever I'm face to face with incoherant people is that my father is one of those babbling brooks. To say communication skills is not his strongest trait is an understatement but what he lacks in social skills he makes up for with his severely mechanical yet painfully literal mind. I don't want to get all sentimental but it was that mechanical and literal mind of his that put food on the table growing up. So try to look on the bright side. Usually what a person lacks in one area they more than make up for in another, and that's what makes the world go 'round right? Just how our individual brains are hard wired I guess. My father is one of those stuttering, mumbling, bumbling fools that you speak of and if you didn't know him like his loved ones know him you'd probably hate him. He's the most aggrevating person I've ever met! But enough about that, the point of my post was to help you sublimate your frustrations by telling yourself these people are really mad genius' talking about subjects out of their element. Who knows maybe Frank Black is really a mathematical engineer, tops in his field.

Callers sound the same as they always have. FreeFm callers actually seem better than the XM callers, I don't know if it because it's in my own head, or because they are New York callers, but they seem more on topic and less nervous than the XM callers, and I expect vulgarity on the radio more common than not just because words and indecent thoughts are so second nature to people, and the FCC is a bit tighter nowdays.

I call it "idiot chic", "Fashionably stupid".
I work with blacks who are shunned by other blacks if they speak intelligently. I notice if I try and have intelligent conversations with some people, they roll their eyes and act as if I am talking a foreign language. As much technology and information as we all have instant access to, these people look at intelligence as being a crutch. If Lincoln was around today, he'd be stunned.

You don't need to start a new thread every week about what you don't like, especially when you just seem to repeat yourself. We get it. You feel that the your questions should be treated with greater sanctity. Guess what? It's not going to change the board. The board has developed a certain way because the community has developed that way and the people get along and don't get their panties in a unch if there are a few less than serious responses to their questions. It's the culture of this board. A lot of the people know each other on this board and kid around. yes, it sometimes mean that people will give joke responses to questions. It is not your duty to be telling people what they can and can't do on this board.

It's the goddamn TV. I can't stand how reliant we've become on this poison. It makes me physically angry to think about. Whenever I go to my parents' house, they've got the damn thing on. From what I can tell, It's on just about every waking moment. When I was growing up, we went through long periods of not even having a television set. We had one night a week when we would read whatever we wanted at the dinner table. Other than that night, it was family time and we had to deal with each other and talk about things. I have friends who I used to spend long evenings with no where near a damn set, now they watch the thing all the time. Turn it off people, at least some of the time.

instead of " stage fright ", i would call it " phone fright ".... people love the show enough to want to do more than just listen. they love it enough to risk " what is humiliation in their mind " to contribute and be a minute part of the show

not all but a good number

last night though on Free FM i was cringing a little bit because almost every caller i heard started off with the threaded " how you doing? ". I think for now Ronnie is somewhat going with it and hoping it won't take long for them to stop it. I guess if you are hearing alot of "how you doing" then it may be alot of new listeners which ultimately is good for the Boys...

this thread leads me to another question, i guess towards old schoolers

do the boys really want to hear a caller start off with " big ass cardholder xxxx " or do you think they would rather leave that in the past?
