When Fat Was Visiting His Aged P's Over Christmas, They Brought Out The Old Home Movies.  In One, There Was Young Fat Sitting At The Kitchen Table Next To A Box Of Post Oat Flakes.  That Was Fat's Favorite Cereal In The Day (It Tasted Best When Left To Sit In The Milk For 20-Minutes To Get Extra Soggy), But Alas, It Has Not Been Made For Many Years.It Got Fat Thinking About Other Foods He Loved That Are No Longer Made.  Number Two On Fat's List Of Most-Missed Foods Is Bar None.  This Incredibly Delicious Candy Bar Was Made In The Early 90's And Had Layers Of Very Thin Chocolate Wafers Alternating With Layers Of A Scrumptious Soft Chocolate, All Enveloped In A Deep, Dark Chocolate Coating.  So Good.  Why Oh Why Did They Discontinue That?What Foods Did You Love That Have Been Discontinued?

Dunkin Donuts cereal.I can still taste it. If i can remember correctly the box was split in half, glazed on one side and chocolate on the other.

Buffalo Busters...they were mini bagels with spicy chicken and a bit of cheese on them.  they were great.  i would eat about 20 at a time.  i miss them.

Bar None is my pick too (I was actually a little pissed that you mentioned it first).  That was my favorite candybar EVER.Little Debbie used to make these miniature Pecan Pies that I absolutely loved.  They were about 3 inches in circumference and came in their own little pie tin.  A box of them was only about $1.49.  I keep hoping they will bring them back.I have a partial vote for Vernor's Ginger Ale too.  It's a partial vote because it is still being made - however, it is not available in my area any longer and it is outrageously expensive to order from the net.

Bonkers!  Yes!You Have To Be Really Old To Remember This One: In The Early 60's, For A Very Brief Period Of Time, Ovaltine Made A Candy Bar.  The Inside Was Basically A Solid Form Of Ovaltine, And The Outside Was Chocolate.  It Was Highly Delicious.

Two come to mind right away:McDLT: Kept the hot side hot and the cool side cool.Pudding Pastry/Pocket: - I can remember the name of this exactly, but it was a pastry-like cake covered in chocolate with a chocolate filling.   Can't remember who made it.  Edit:  I think Hostess made it.

I remember bonkers!!!!!  They were much juicier than starburst, and softer too!!I remember a cereal called crispy critters, but I HATED IT!!!! It was gross and my mom always bought it, I am glad it's no longer made.There was a cereal I remember, it was all sugary and tasted like maple syrup, I think it might have been in the shape of waffles, or toast, but Im not 100% on that, it was packed with a waffley breakfast punch. Ummmm sugar.

Ummmm sugar. Over the summer I picked up Eggo Cereal, which is exactly what you described.  They also have a cinnamon version.  It is pretty rich though - you can only eat so much at once.

I think what really doomed the McDLT was the styrofoam container. It wasn't long after it came out, that fast food chains were pressured to stop using the styrofoam.

I'm gonna have to echo the sentiments of bonkers and Jell-O pudding pops (even the fruity flavored jell-o pops were good, though nothing compared to choc. vanilla swirl).  Another ice cream I miss and always mention in these kinds of threads are Good Humor Fat Frogs.  You could only get the from the ice cream man, but they were the effing B  E S T !

In the late 80's I used to get these WWF ice cream bars, they had a cookie type piece that had a wrestler printed on it and had vanilla ice cream in the middle then a chocolate back. I would pay anything to have one of those right now! Does anyone remember these? I can't seem to find anyone who remembers them, but I had them all the time!

At my little league snack stand where I got the WWF bars, there were also MLB bars.  I don't remember the name, or even if there was a baseball related shape or theme to them, all I remember was the stick.  When you were done, you had a baseball bat with a fake signature on it & kids would trade them to try to complete the set, etc.  I recall liking those even more than the WWF bars, as far as taste goes, but I don't remember why.Another of my favorites that you rarely see anymore (but I don't think is fully discontinued) is Fruit Stripe gum.  I used to chew it all the time as a kid.  Now, you might stumble across an extremely stale pack or two at your local diner, but almost never see it anywhere else.

Frozen jelly donuts.  I would eat them every Sunday morning at my grandmothers house while watching Abbot & Costello.  You could either put them in the oven for a fe minutes or just sit them out and let them defrost.  I'd always have one each way.

As I rememebr those pudding things were the same shell as the fruit pies just instead of fake apple or fake cherry it was fake pudding (what fake pudding is I don't know but it wasn't right) yet i couldn't stop eating them...ummm fake pudding !!!

ok, im going to take a stab at this.  Im not sure how to spell it because i was really young and i cant seem to find anything that remotely sounds like it on google.  but what i miss the most is this ice cream my mom used to buy "fruchenglasha"  Its pronounced how is spelled it, just not sure its spelled that way...LOL  There used to be a commercial with people saying "who ate all the Frushenglasha???".  This ice cream was the BEST ice cream i've ever eaten. I miss it! DOES ANYONE REMEMBER THIS???????????? Ooooh and I miss Pickles in a barrel!!! they dont make them that way anymore because its not "sanitary".  They were the BEST!!!!

How how how how HOW was Jolt cola not brought up already?I know they still make it technically(i think) but it's not the same formula they used where you'd drink it all and have the grimey black muck at the bottom of the bottle. Glass bottles, too.And i'm not sure if theyre still made but Dunkaroos need a comeback.

I don't really have a story about a discontinued food but more of a discontinued brand of booze.  Years ago: I was home for the holidays and a buddy of mine went out a local shit hole bar (in NE PA) and they were having some promotion for some booze you basically just do shots of, much like Jager.  So, we got trashed off this stuff and it was soooooo good.So, what do I do but go to the beer/liq store the following weekend looking for more.  When I asked the guy if they had it he gave me this disgusted look and said there is on way we can sell that.  He said they discontinued that stuff because it was found out to make people go blind.  Now that sounds like crazy talk but he said it serious as hell and I could never find the stuff again. This post would be better if I could remember the name of the booze but it was too long ago.  AND I can still see, thank go.

I loved these, too. So salty and delicious! And those Andy Capp Pub Fries were
good -- I haven't thought about those in years.

A newer item I loved was gardenburger brand (fake) meat loaf. It came in a
microwaveable pouch with a delicious gravy. I loved them with mashed potatoes
but now I can't find them anywhere.

There was also a mint chocolate chip one and a peanut butter one which was freakin' awesome.  Reily: barrel pickles were so good!  The closest substitute i've found is something called <a href=http://www.vanholtenpickles.com/index.htm?id=9614>Pickle in a Pouch</a>.  Creepy at first, but damn tasty. Ecto cooler was pretty badass.  Hi-C lost a lil something when they switched to the all yellow boxes.  Does anyone remember a Hi-C bubble gum flavored drink?  It was awful, but when you're a little girl sometimes all you want is the pink juice. I still see the pub fries.  Mostly at the beer distributor.  And dunkaroos, well those are just magical.  I think you can find them at the grocery store everyonce in a while.

BTW - anybody remember Snapple Crystal Cola? I don't know if it was widely available, but I used to get it in Boston while in college during the late 80's. Nothing like Crystal Pepsi. I think there was a clear Root Beer as well.Another candy was Mars Bars. I think Snickers Almond are the same thing.

Does anybody remember this peanut butter and jelly that came out in the late 70's or early 80's?  I can't remember the name.  It was a combination that came in several flavors, and was packaged in a plastic beach bucket.  I think it was called "Googley Eyes".  The food was horrible but we thought it was great because of the cheap plastic bucket.

A few of the things I miss/remember are still available reginally.I remember Hammer soda from growing up in the Bronx.One of my neighbors used to get it delivered. The pineapple was the best.To this day I havent tasted a pineapple as good.In regards to Vernors Ginger Ale, as a previous poster mentioned, you can still get it in Michigan.I work for Pepsi and I know a lot of our bottlers in Mich make/sell it.I loved Boo Berry more than any of the other monster cereals. I know that you can find it in WalMart every now and again but I havent had it in years.Ithought I had lost out on this chilli they sold in the supermarkets called Stagg.It used to come in a carton as opposed to a can.Super Stop & Shop always had it but then totally stopped carrying it.Shoprite had very limited amounts recently.Well I went online to find it ( its actually made by Hormell who also puts out another chilli under its own name ) and I see that its now offered in cans.I'm guessing the reason it dissappeared was due to them changing the packaging. Hopefully all the stores will start carrying it again.It also has some versions that are only distributed regionally.There's a white bean chili, a chicken chili and a turkey chili that I saw online that they I've never seen inthe stores.May have to order them online.

Ecto cooler is still available, just under a new name. its tangerine something. there's a website that broke it down and found what it is. a simple google search should get you there.

i really miss cool ranch cheetos. they were only out briefly about 7-8 years ago and pulled because they were too awesome. i found them once. I thought it was a dream because i couldnt find them for so long but found a pic online and they did exist.
