I bet they don'y want people adding up stats then making cases for new record holders. I forget when they started keeping track of stats.

No idea how many he had in his career, but Deacon Jones should still be the all time leader. He had 26 unofficial sacks in 14 games early in his career

Yes they did not keep track of the sack record till the 80's however these are normal stats. I do have all the super bowl stats and the championship stats and believe me that took some hard work. However the divisional game stats are impossible to get. Should it really be this hard????

Stats are what they are, STATISTICS! The NFL should go back and update everyone's stats. If Taylor had those numbers, how the hell can the NFL deny it? What the hell do these statisticians do all day?!?

They probably have their office on the 14th floor of a 13 story building too!

They have done retro-stats with QB's because I saw the passer rating for Johnny Unitas once on TV.
