What's with the Hispanics working in pizza places?

<p>I tried to order two pies tonight and it was like I was calling Guatamala.&nbsp; The guy sounded like the love-child of that bull-riding guy from tonight's show and Bronx Johnny.&nbsp; It took me three tries to get the guy to understand that I wanted a white pie.</p><p>I'm not sure if this is only a Central Jersey thing or not.&nbsp; Though I was in Manhattan right after Thanksgiving and I did notice this phenomenon in a couple of places there too.&nbsp; </p><p>I'm not a racist, but in my day you could be sure of three things: death, taxes and the fact that your pizza was tossed by some greazy eye-talian in a guinea tee.&nbsp; (I can say these things because I'm a greazy eye-talian, minus the guinea tee.)&nbsp; WTF.&nbsp; </p><p>What's even worse: my parents took us out to a Chinese Buffet place this summer (big spenders) and they had a Hispanic guy making Sushi while wearing the whole kimono/headband get-up thingy.</p><p>&nbsp;</p>

I worked in a pizza place for 5 or 6 years and we had a mexican making pizzas and mexicans cooking in the back.&nbsp; But we always had a white guy answering the phone and working the counter.&nbsp; I will say that that mexican made some of the best piazza I ever ate.

<p>We went to BeniHanas Hibachi a few weeks ago and our hibachi chef was an angry mexican dude.&nbsp; In teh full hibachi get up and all.&nbsp; He did all the little hibachi tricks all half assed and got angry when someone had a special meal request.</p><p>My pizza place is still all italians!&nbsp;</p>

<p>in brooklyn:</p><p>the hibashi japanese steakhouse chain is founded and run by Italians.</p><p>the chinese-fried chicken-check cashing place in the projects is run by Koreans</p><p>the pizza places are run by Italians.&nbsp; they have mexicans working in the back but not the cooking.&nbsp; L&amp;B, my fav. pizza &amp; Spamoni place to go to in the world started having Mexicans do the cooking and the place almost went under.&nbsp; as soon as they changed things back to the way they were the place has gotten bigger.&nbsp; Their reason for going with Mexicans: it was a family run business and the next generation didnt want a part of it.&nbsp; </p><p>&nbsp;</p>
