I heard this bit on another radio show tonite a few minutes ago (didnt hear what show it was). Basically they were listing people who came into fame by default at someone elses misfortune. They had Gerald Ford, or Ringo Starr. So, name some people who became famous after someone else's destruction. Go!

Bruce Lee brought greater legitimacy to the genre of martial arts movies for US audiences. In that way he influenced Chuck Norris' career. But to say that Norris owes his career to the death of Bruce Lee is stretching it - everybody in action films owes a debt to Lee.

I hate to say it, but Norris put a "white face" on the surging popularity of martial arts films. The US was looking for a "home grown" star and Chuck Norris was their man.
