Hey people I just got home and cracked open a beer, and my cat was sniffing around the mug and started to drink so & liked it, so I was wondering does anyone else have a pet that likes alcohol ?

When I was a kid, we used to give my dog a beer on the 4th of July, because the fireworks used to scare the crap out of him. ONE beer, and he turned into a sack of potatos. It was so funny the next day, he'd be hungover!

When I was a teenager, the family cat would hang out in the window when he saw us pull out the bong because he knew we'd blow the hits out the window

if i am drinking a dark beer like Smithwicks or Guiness, Vegas will stick her nose in the glass and take a sip or two. later on your can see by the look on her face that she is alittle tipsy. she then goes to sleep on the floor and needs to carried to bed.

My pug Buddy Lee and I used to enjoy some celebratory Champagne when the Yankees would win the Championship, but he's been on the wagon since 2000, the last year the Yanks won the bowl! And since the Jets havent won since '69 and the Nets have come close but never could close the deal, the boy must be jonesin for a taste. I may break down tonight and let that cute lil fella ring in the new year with some Champimple!

Happy New Year guys, thanks for crackin me up on a daily basis here.

Seee yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa , Flavo

According to Chicagoland Tails, who cite the Columbia Animal Hospital,
alcohol is highly toxic to cats. A tablespoon of whiskey can kill a
cat, while just two teaspoons can put the poor thing into a coma.
Beer, while a bit lower in alcohol content, is just as toxic, even
though it would require a slightly larger quantity.

The staff at the Temperance Animal Hospital in Temperance MI (my vets)
add that ingestion of alcohol causes liver trauma in cats - they are
unable to metabolize alcohol.

i let mine lick the bottle top cause he fuckin loves it but for those who let theirs lap it up,..

probably not good i'm guessin.
