I know he sounds gay, but the fact that he isn't just brings the show down. Honesty is lacking. This is coming from a fairly new listener, but I think it's hacky.

In fact I think Fez should be nixed. Bring somebody else in. Unless Fez can be funny in a non-gay compacity. Seriously, it kills the show, IMO.

Come on people! Has anybody been listening to the old "Best Of's" this past week? Fez is a very funny guy! I think his heart attack messed his head up for a while, but this new gig is gonna show all you nay-sayers a side of this brilliant man you've never seen. This show is better than almost all the awful dreck that's on the radio. Ron and Fez are the best comedy team since Hope and Crosby!

I discovered Ron & Fez the hard way - I'm a Brit and I live in ngland - So listening to R&F is not an easy option - English radio sucks in the biggest way - so having seen Private Parts I started buying old STern shows off of ebay - One of the people I bought from suggested I try Loveline which was an amazing show when Carolla was on it - From there I discoverd O&A and Ron & Fez. Bottom line is this Buddy, Fez is a GOD LIKE GENIUS he is the funniest thing on the radio ever ever ever - Maybe the show is not for you so move on and leave it for those of us who appreaciate it - I have had to survive on Old shows this is the first time I have been able to listen to them live and I have set myself up ready for Jan 2nd 3 hours of fresh Ron & Fez everyday total bliss (It starts at 11pm over here). I'm not some dumb kid. I'm 45 years old and am so pleased to have at least found Radio worth listening too.With O&A thats six hours of fresh quality radio for me!Ron & Fez rule they are the smartest team on radio!

Here's why this thread is stupid: the "Fez is gay (?)" angle really doesn't make that big a dent in the show anyway.  Most of the gay-teasing that Fez gets is the same stuff that straight friends would aim at each other.  Unless Hollywood gossip is automatically a gay thing- something Opie & Anthony would be disappointed to learn- you could probably count on one hand the number of real, genuine gay innuendos Fez puts out in a given week.  The character is what it is, but it isn't the end all and be all of the show.  If a listener can't get past it then it's his loss and that's that.

his character has always been the same, its not a bit, its a character he plays. Fezzie is as much of the show as ron is.  Listen to some episodes from 2001- 2004 before fez started not feeling himself.  But i agree with one of the posters to said that he is coming back to his old form in a big way! I think the homeless shopping spree was definitely a sign that the sharp and quick fezzie we all love is making a comeback..even when he wasnt 100%, he is still the best sidekick EVER!!  I am not a new poster by the way ive had like 4 different names but forgot all the passwords..i am gonna stick with this one now..CCCCCCCCCCCCCCYAAAAAAAAAAAAA

You can't have Ron without Fez, their personalites clash so much it ends up being absoultely brillant radio. If you can learn to appreciate their particualr chemistry together every other talk show seems a step below in comparsion. l am so glad the boys are back, have missed them a hell of alot after the Wnew fiasco and not being a Xm subscriber.Ron and Fez are the saviours of radio!!!

Ugh! Another dumbshit from NC called today, the trucker talking about he couldn't hunt on Sundays. And he's full of shit too; I live in the Charlotte area and the stretch between Charlotte and Monroe is dominated by Mexicans, not religious bumpkins. The law about hunting on Sundays is not so much about religion as it is keeping those hillbillys with a serial killer streak from disrupting every single day of the week while they stalk Bambi and engage in sodomy in the woods.

I don't think you get it. Fez isn't pretending to be gay and has never claimed to be gay. The gag is that you have Ron who's a real man's man being contrasted against Fez who is gayer than gay but actually isn't. For Ron, Fez is not a three headed goat; he's something you look at and try to understand but can't really figure out and as long as remains harmless, you let it do its own thing.
