I got three DS games for Christmas: Metroid Prime, Cooking Mama, and Trauma Center

Metroid Prime I haven't played more than a minute of yet. It's going to take me some time to get used to the stylus control scheme.

Cooking Mama is kind of eh. It's fun at first, but it's really the same actions over and over again after a while. It's really not that hard unless you're shooting for gold on every recipe, and doing that seems more tedious than fun.

Trauma Center is a lot of fun, but I just got it last night, so I haven't gotten past the beginning of Chapter 2.

I'm not going to start playing anything until after February, but:

PS2 - Shadow Hearts: From the New World - It just looks wacky as shit. Plus, I'm a sucker for mariachis.

I just finished playing an emulated version of Lunar: Eternal Blue for the Sega CD which I played and beat over ten years ago. It was like revisiting my early adolescence - it was great. Especially with all the mid-90's cultural references they threw in there.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance is pretty much the same as the two X-Men games so far. (Finished the first level) Once you figure out the trick to the combat system, the challenge is fairly limited. Cool to see all the Marvel characters and all, but fairly repetitious. run through map, fight minor bad guys, fight major Marvel villain, run thru map again, fight second major villain, keep running, fight big boss.

My wife got me a game called REAL WORLD GOLF for PS2 as a Christmas present.

It's pretty cool, you put on gloves which are attatched to a string for each hand. You stand over this box that reads your swing and translates it to the on-screen player.

I keep hooking the fucking ball! which is opposite of real life but my drives are 300 - 350 yds and about 8 feet off the ground, which also is like rel life.

If you are a golfer I'd recommend it....You can wear plaid Knickers while playing in the safety of your living room.

Currently working on Final Fantasy XII, but the game is huge and I keep getting sidetracked by all the stuff you can do as well as life outside my room, so the game is dragging along. Which is fine by me, it's a good game so far.

Always busy playing Counter-Strike Source and Half-Life 2 on the PC. Thinking of starting up the expansion packs for Warhammer 40,000.

Games on my to-do list:

Bully

Company of Heroes

Rainbow Six Vegas (for pc)

Okami

I was playing GTA San Andreas, furiously tapping buttons to make - what's the guy's name? - well, in the gym lifting weights when I struck me that I should be at the gym lifting weights. So, my rule of thumb is that I have to earn game time with gym time. 1 to 1.

<> That being said, I grabbed Gran Turismo 4 out of the bargain bin at the Best Buys, and I'm totally fucking addicted. There's a New York course that runs up Broadway, curls around Columbus Circle down 59th Street and back downtown, and I was on Broadway the other day and I realized I was standing on the exact spot that I start braking in the game.

Do you ever get the background music from a game stuck in your head? I got Marvel Ultimate Alliance on New Year's Day and am pretty much exactly half way through it. When I got it i thought id be fucked because all the characters i would want to play with were unlockables, but the game is good enough that it doesn't really matter that much. I'm OCDish enough to try to beat the game over and over again with different sets of characters and also to see how optional objectives effect the ending. I think if they make a sequel and just expand the storyline it'll be polished enough to be one of the best games o' that year.

The Godfather for 360. If you like GTA series, its in that genre, pretty original fighting style. You extort businesses, and have heat levels for the cops you can bring down with bribes, and heat levels with the other mob families called vendettas. Follows the story from the movies pretty closely, one mission you sneak into the restaurant and plant the gun behind the toilet. Another you sneak into the director's compound, cut the head off his horse, and sneak it into the bedroom. Pretty addicting once you get into it. Right now I'm Michael Corleone's right hand man, Capo status lvl 30.

I'm playing Viva Pinata now. It's a pretty fucked up game. You have to get them to "romance" each other and produce new pinatas. you can also beat pinatas you don't like to death with a shovel.

STUGOTS

Hire a sidekick from the compound, try to bribe the cops to get em on your side, move slow hiding behind walls, and crouching. While auto aiming at enemies, try to get em in the head, drops em in one shot. Wait til you take over a compound, damn.
