Len Bias, U of Md. basketball player. The most skilled and fun player I had ever seen. I was looking forward to seeing him rule the NBA for a long time.
When he was drafted by the Celtics in the first round, he killed himself with a cocaine overdose. You stupid asshole!
Broke my heart and made me terrified of drugs for the rest of my life. I think about doing drugs and I just picture my heart exploding. I guess in a sick way he helped me that way, but goddamn I'm still pissed at him for wasting his life so stupidly.
When I went to school at U of Md., I lived in the dorm room right above the one that he died in.

Being a huge college fan, I was shocked when Len Bias passed away. What a waste!
I learned my lesson; the only thing I put up my nose is my finger!
BTW, my old high school buddy Albert King went to Maryland,
so did Boomer Esiason..GO TERPS! ;)
