<p>You remember <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TZb0avfQme8&eurl=">THESE</a> ads, right?</p><p>They really knew what they were talking about. All pretty much came true. Except for the AT&T part. They really dropped the ball along the way somehow.</p><p> </p>

<p>they knew their shit. Maybe they should have never made these commercials then maybe they could have kept these ideas to themselves instead of letting everyone else come out with all this shit sooner and better. At&t went bankrupt and were recently bought up by southwestern bell (former baby bell) and cingular. Its a shame they had all the ideas but were beat to the party.</p><p>It is amazing how those commercials seemed unrealistic now can any of you live without most of the technology we have today? I couldnt</p>

<p>What timing you have for saying AT&T dropped out of sight.</p><p>Just yesterday Forbes awarded AT&T with the <a href="http://www.forbes.com/free_forbes/2007/0108/084.html">company of the year award</a>. </p><p>They just got a bunch of multi year contracts signed too:</p><p><a href="http://www.forbes.com/business/feeds/afx/2006/12/21/afx3275233.html"><strong>AT&T</strong> wins 2-<strong>year</strong>, 5 mln usd contract extension from BAX Global</a><font size="-1"></font><br /><font size="-1"><a href="http://news.google.com/news/url?sa=t&ct=us/0-1&fp=458b36d53fd1d8d7&ei=a9qLRZmfDMqmHd650fYM&url= http%3A//www.forbes.com/business/feeds/afx/2006/12/21/afx3275094.html&cid=1111229432"><strong>AT&T</strong> signs 1-<strong>year</strong>, 33 mln usd contract extension with DIRECTV</a> <font size="-1" color="#6f6f6f"></font></font><br /><font size="-1"><a href="http://www.forbes.com/technology/feeds/afx/2006/12/21/afx3275415.html"><strong>AT&T</strong> wins 3-<strong>year</strong>, multimillion-dollar network services deal</a></font></p><p> </p><p>But besides all that, the AT&T Long Lines Building on Church. St. in NYC scares the hell out of me.</p><p><img src="http://img139.imageshack.us/img139/8881/llqz4.jpg" border="0" /> </p><p> </p><p>Designed to withstand a nuke attack and be self sufficient for weeks. </p>
