Does anyone remember this kids show? I watched it on PBS as a real little kid and they basically tried to encorporate science and make it fun and shit, but none of my friends ever remember seeing it. Why am I the only one? It had a segment to end every ep that was a take off on dragnet called Mathnet that I always thought was hilarious but I'm sure would be annoyed by now. Anyways, anyone remember this show?

I remember the show...I can even sing some of the opening song, too. I don't remember any episodes, but the opening song was catchy enough for me to remember all these years later.

LOVED that show!! I guess I was always interested in science, but this show definitely helped. And was there a segment in the show, or maybe the show that followed, called "The Bloodhound Gang?"

Whenever there's trouble, we're there on the double, we're the Bloodhound Gang!

Oh, of course I remember this show! That unforgettable opening montage and theme song, and I do believe that every episode featured the original Bloodhound Gang..."if youve got some trouble, we're there on the double...we're The Bloodhound Gang...if you've got the crime, we've got the ti-ime-ime, we're The Bloodhound Gang.

"Contact - it's the answer, it's the reason why everything happens."

I remember the show well: suave African-American gent living with two progressive white chicks - they performed various "experiments."

The show also introduced the Bloodhound Gang, "Wherever there's trouble, we're there on the double - we're the Bloodhound Gaaaaaaaaaaang."

Another memorable segment was 'That's why pencils have erasers' where they'd show crashes of old timey impracticle cars and flying devices and shit and then run the film backwards.

I REMEMBER THE SHOW IT WAS GREAT....
I remember 3,2,1 Contact and especially Mathnet. I also remember "Mathman" which was a take off on Pac Man. He always seemed to fucking die because he couldn't figure out a math problem in time. I think I only saw him make it out once. But the lesson was not lost on me; learn math, or die.

Trivia: Yeardley Smith (voice of Lisa Simpson) was in a multi-part episode of mathnet. her friend, grunt the gorilla, was framed for some crimes that were actually committed by a guy in a gorilla suit. The dramatic conculsion has grunt climbing the HOLLYWOOD sign.

I learned what radio payola was from Mathnet.ÿ Wierd Al was a DJ at some radio station and mistook the Mathnet detectives as the couriers for that month's payment.ÿ They ended up finding the kidnapped musician in that episode by the clues the kidnappee sent a friend, which were the musical notes played when the kidnapper's phone number was dialed on a touch-tone. Good times.
