I havent played a video game since the early to mid 90's. But I have seen some of these new games and might have to buy a system and start to play some of them. Has anyone played fight night 3? I love boxing and this game looks insane.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SrvWP4zRKBI

I have Fight Night 3 for PSP and its just awesome. I'm stuck on Tiger '07 right now, but as soon as I'm done I'm going back to Fight Night.

would you say I should buy a system just to play this game or some others? Like I said I havent owned a system or played video games in 10-12 years

If you can afford the money for a system I say go for it. Games have come a long way from 10 years ago. Definatly get Fight Night and Gears of War if you get a new system.

theres a HUGE difference between PS2 and PS3 (i dont play XBox so i dont know the differences there). If you wanna buy a system, wait a little for PS3 to drop in price then get it because it's worth it. I don't have PS3 yet (though I've played it), but I have my PSP to get me by.

Honestly if you have a high def tv it is worth spending the extra money for a PS3 or a XBOX 360. I've never seen the PS3 in high def but the difference between a 360 on regular tv and a high def tv is pretty big.

So I think if I do buy a system I will take cougarjake's advice and go with something like a ps2.
