the recent discussion of daydreaming and whatnot has got me thinking/remebering my early years and my imaginary friend. I remember getting caught singing to him whilst swinging on a swing in the yard. he used to help me clean my room and he used to folow me to the schoolbus. i dont remeber his name, but i remeber him resembling jimminee cricket.

after my dog died when I was 8, i started pretending he was still there and would 'play' with him.

i think that may be more of a traumatic reaction than anything.

although it went on for years.

My brother had an imaginary friend, and my uncle told him that he ran across the street and got hit by a car and died. My brother started crying. pretty funny.

never had an imaginary friend...

i remember having a ton of best friends, it seemed like every few weeks i'd have a new best friend and we'd be hanging out and visiting each others house and then before you know it you didn't hang out anymore.

you never remember why you became best friends and you never remember why you stopped hanging out but just did

I never had an imaginary friend, just odd voices in my head telling me that I should really think about make believe friends who dont steal my stash or raid my refridgerator of the TV dinners that i eat during re-runs of Seinfeld
