My brother and I once drove 120MPH from my grandma's house to the Laubscher Cheese Co. It was the late 80's, and he was driving a TR7.

I told my brother I just wanted a few slices of Provalone. He told me to order 1/5th of a pound. WHen I did that, the lady gave me a very very strange look, and then put about 4 slices of cheese up on the scale.

In short, I like provalone alot. But I got nothin against the swiss. Bless their little holes!

This thread tastes soo good. I share your love of cheese, I don't believe I've met a cheese I didn't like, well, except head cheese, but's that's not technically cheese. My favorites are montery jack, munster, chedder, feta, goat, gouda, gorgonzola and brie. Anyone else care to share their love of Brie? It tasted like dishwater at first but it really grows on you. I find myself craving it every now and again.

The best is burrino. At least that's what's it's called on dialect but yoiu can ask for it by that name in a real Italian deli. I usually get sent to my from Italy. It looks like a scarmorza, but has fresh butter in the middle. It's awesome!
