Define Bisexual/gay

I know this girl whose had more serious relationships with more guys than girls. She says shes bi-sexual but never been serious with another chick other than making out. Also she likes looking at girls and finds them attractive and does the same for guys.

Is this considered gay...bisexual or being a full blown lesbian?

Just an observation, but a lot
of my friends who consider
themselves "bi-sexual" are
people who get involved in a
serious relationship with
someone of the opposite sex,
get "too close and/or
intimate" with said partner,
and then immediately jump into
a same-sex relationship. If
they get too close to the
same-sex partner then BOOM!
They are attracted to someone
of the opposite sex again.

I'm not saying this is across
the board. This is just an
observation of some of the
deadbeats I'm friends with!

Heterosexualtiy is simply defined as the TENDENCY to direct sexual desire towards the opposite sex.

Homosexuality is defined as the TENDENCY to direct sexual desire towards the same sex.

Bisexuality is defined as the TENDENCY to direct sexual desire to both sexes. Bisexuality can be concurrent or seriel, or a combination. (The bisexual may want sex partners at one time who are only male or only female or have both male and female sex partners at the same time.)

Note that all the definitions include the term "tendency." A person who has a single or even several gay experiences is not necessarily gay.

I agree with Big Jim here. I don't believe in "bisexuality". You may enjoy the intimate company of both sexes, but ultimately you do have a preference one way or another, either straight or gay.

its hard sometimes to find true bi people especially women.. alot of times ill get involved with a "bisexual" girl then realise that she is just doing it for the attention.. basicly using me to turn men on. thats just retarded.. that isnt bi thats skanky.. personally(although i like the chasing amy reference) i totally think someone can be attracted to 2 sexes but there are always tendencies toward one or the other.. i personaly perfer women but have trouble finding these said women...until we all get tattoos on our heads saying bi,gay or straight... finding a member of the same sex proves to be difficult.. now dont get me wrong i like dick.. i like it alot but relationshipwise i would much rather be with a woman. gah i totaly lost my point... ah who needs one anyway

HK, read "Defending the Bible from Fundamentalists" by John Shelley Spong. He is a Dutch Reformed Priest who allows gays to worship in his church. It is a great book, even for non-theists. I realize it seems like the entire religious world is working against the gay/bisexual community, but that isn't the case.

I suppose you can be bi w/out having had an actual sexual experience with someone of the same sex...no one questions your sexuality if you're heterosexual but are a virgin.
But, I stick with what Dr.Drew says about men who claim to be bi: they are GAY. They just aren't comfortable admitting it. But who could blame them?
