My father used to play Soccer all the time while growing up in Syria. I think he was on a team in the army too. He's so into it he'll leave the Italian and Spanish stations on to watch matches.

Aussie Rules is fun to watch. Way more fun to play.

I still count it as one of the big four myself, but, as bad as the NBA is at #3, there's a huge gap between that, in terms of popularity, and Hockey at #4.

And if the NBA keeps going the way it's going, it won't be long before it's down to the Big Two.

As far as fringe sports go, I casually watch some horse racing and boxing. Horse Racing isn't bad being in Delaware near Delaware Park and withing earshot of Philadelphia Park. Boxing stinks, but every once in a while you'll get something decent.

Do we consider UFC a sport? Because I'm slowly getting into that.

only really a fan of baseball and football

ill usually only watch b ball and hockey during playoff time, ill channel surf on sundays when nascar is in season but im not fanatical or watch a whole race, just tune in periodically and watch the last 25 laps or so

but i watch wrestling and ufc a lot more than b ball and hockey so while not a sport it has some athletic merit to it

I've grown up watching, playing and teaching hockey. It has always been a part of my life but a few years ago I went to see a lacrosse game (NLL) and instantly became infatuated with the sport.

It's fast, high scoring, rough and really intense.

I think it's totally underrated and would gain great viewership numbers if it could find it's spot on tv. NBC tried broadcasting a few games 2 years ago but failed to capture the sport in a manner that would interest the younger generations. If a major network could find a way to present it properly it could become a 'semi-major' sport very quickly.
